I help people fall in love with themselves.
Life teaches us to be at war with ourselves. The first thing that needs to happen is to have a deep understanding of your basic nature: the fact that you are a MIRACLE.
The “falling in love” effect is nothing other than a humble celebration of the magnitude of who you are.

II am a clinical psychologist with a Master’s degree in Counseling and Mental Health and a Doctorate in Applied Psychology. Although my academic journey has been extensive, the greatest influence on my professional and personal development has been Dr. Ted Klontz, whom I credit with shaping the person, professional, wife, mother, and grandmother that I am today.
I have been in private practice since 1993, and Dr. Klontz’s teachings form the foundation of my therapeutic model. My approach is client-centered and rooted in depth psychology, Internal Family Systems, and experiential therapy. My doctoral dissertation focused on the exploration of trauma, which has given my work a trauma-informed perspective.
Experiential therapy, in particular, resonates deeply with my artistic sensibility. As an experiential therapist, I draw upon elements of visual and sculpting arts to give expression to inner landscapes that may not be accessed by words. This creative process offers clients another voice to better communicate and understand their inner experiences more fully.
By listening attentively and reflecting to what is being expressed, I help facilitate a sense of being seen. This process allows clients to gain deeper clarity about who they are, without the need for interpretation, analysis, or diagnosis. Achieving this depth of connection requires a highly focused and attuned presence; one that cultivates safety, making it possible for vulnerability and authenticity to emerge freely.

"I have been in the role of counselor/therapist/owner of a therapeutic organization/trainer and personal therapy consumer for over 50 years.
My travels have taken me to many parts of the world where I have personally trained and supervised over 1,000 therapeutic professionals in a unique, efficient model based on the concept that people are not broken or sick, thus don't need fixed or 'treated.
In 1995 I met a young woman, Karin Schwank, who has become the most proficient and accomplished individual in this model, that I have ever trained and mentored.
For more than 35 years she has continued her trainings with me and in the process has developed and enhanced the model with her own unique talents and genius to the point where I have trusted her with family and friends. And to the point where I honestly believe she is better at what I do, than I am.
There are no words to describe her professional skills and is my 'go to person when someone needs help, and I am not able to be that person."
“It’s hard to imagine my life without Karin’s constant feedback.
For 12 years, she has guided me through a deep process of self-knowledge, transformation, and growth.
There’s a quote in her office by Neale Donald Walsch that says: ‘My purpose in life is that the people who share their path with me fall in love with themselves again.’
I don’t know if I’m completely in love with myself yet, but I can say that, thanks to her, I’ve learned to forgive myself, to love myself, and to set boundaries — though that last one still challenges me.
With Karin, I’ve discovered how to soften those parts of myself that used to be hard and, unintentionally, hurt others. Today, my children, friends, and partner benefit from a sweeter, more conscious, and more connected version of me. I remember that ten years ago, during a feeling check, I could only identify three emotions: anger, sadness, and happiness. Now I have a much deeper understanding of my emotions and how they affect my life and relationships — like knowing when to pause and ask for space instead of exploding and hurting others.
Before meeting Karin, I smoked three packs of cigarettes a day and took Tafil to sleep. I didn’t know anything about meditation or yoga. Today, I exercise every day, practice yoga and meditation, and treat my body with kindness. I stopped destroying myself and began wanting to live. Karin also opened the door to a world of wisdom through the authors she introduced me to: Rumi, Hafez, John O’Donohue, Tagore, and Khalil Gibran. I learned that love is not only Eros — there are infinite ways to love and be loved. Relationships like the one I now have with my girlfriend Joe would be unthinkable without all the inner work I’ve done with her guidance.
In my darkest moments, Karin has been by my side. She was there for me in New York in 2019 when I felt alone without my children, and she supported me through my separation, helping me live that process with gentleness — always encouraging compassion and reminding me that doing what’s right ultimately lessens the pain. She doesn’t always agree with me, but she’s almost always right. I consider her one of the three most influential people in my life. Whenever someone is in crisis or needs clarity, I always recommend her.
Her support goes far beyond the sessions because, as she says, ‘I’m WhatsApp away,’ and she truly means it. Karin hasn’t just changed my life — she’s changed it for the better, in every possible way. A thousand thanks, Karin.”
"I came to Karin struggling with panic attacks, wanting to get off psychiatric medications, and carrying the weight of stigmas, diagnoses, and judgments after seeing several psychiatrists and psychologists.
At first, I was afraid of falling into the same old therapy pattern, but she was different. In every session, her presence guided me to discover a space of peace within myself. With the help of art, I began to connect with parts of my story and stopped being afraid of my sensations and emotions.
I also found the inner strength to let go of my addictions and redirect my life toward greater health. Today, I live with more fulfillment; I keep exploring who I am and how to be happier in the middle of the human experience.
I continue applying everything she has taught me, and her support hasn’t been limited to the four walls of the clinic—she is always present. I have learned to live and to love through this process. The opportunities she has given me are invaluable. I live in deep gratitude for her."

individual intensive
Intensives are custom-made and tailored to the unique needs of the client. Each day consists of eight hours of personalized attention, dedicated to an in-depth exploration of the individual under care.
Goals and objectives are transformed into inner dialogue through the creation of prompts, which encourage the individual to spend time alone
reflecting and capturing their inner thoughts.
These reflections are then shared in a safe, witnessing space, allowing for further and deeper exploration of the insights gained.

A couples intensive program is a customized solution designed to address these specific needs, providing the space and time necessary for partners to learn effective communication skills.
The program focuses on helping couples express their needs and feelings in ways that are respectful and honoring to both individuals. Through ample practice, partners learn to listen and speak in a manner that fosters understanding and validation.
These skills are essential for resolving conflicts and establishing new commitments that strengthen the relationship. The ultimate goal of the couples intensive is to create a sense of safety within the partnership, enabling the renewal of commitment, deeper engagement, and the joy of togetherness.

A family intensive is a customized program designed to address the unique needs of an entire family. Each member is given dedicated time and space to share their perspective on the family dynamics they experience.
The primary goal of this work is to develop essential listening skills that foster a sense of being heard, understood, and validated. Through mutual validation, the family can build stronger connections and create a foundation of trust.
This process enables the family to collaboratively establish commitments and decisions that prioritize the well-being of every member.
By focusing on open communication and empathy, the program helps families navigate challenges, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships. Ultimately, the family intensive aims to create a harmonious and supportive environment where each individual feels valued and respected.
